After the soldiers finished making fun of Jesus, they took off the cape and put his own clothes back on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

The two good-for-nothing men came in and sat opposite him. In front of the people, these men accused Naboth of cursing God and the king. So the people stoned him to death outside the city.

He was abused and punished, but he didn’t open his mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. He was like a sheep that is silent when its wool is cut off. He didn’t open his mouth.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “This man must be put to death. The whole community must take him outside the camp and stone him.”

and hand him over to foreigners. They will make fun of him, whip him, and crucify him. But on the third day he will be brought back to life.”

So they grabbed him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

“You know that the Passover will take place in two days. At that time the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

After the soldiers finished making fun of Jesus, they took off the purple cape and put his own clothes back on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.

Then Pilate handed Jesus over to them to be crucified. So the soldiers took Jesus.

Then he said to the disciple, “Look, here’s your mother!” From that time on she lived with that disciple in his home.

and after they had thrown him out of the city, they began to stone him to death. The witnesses left their coats with a young man named Saul.

That is why Jesus suffered outside the gates of Jerusalem. He suffered to make the people holy with his own blood.
