He went and stood in front of his master. Elisha asked him, “Where were you, Gehazi?” “I didn’t go anywhere,” he answered.

This is the way of a woman who commits adultery: She eats, wipes her mouth, and says, “I haven’t done anything wrong!”

They love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have people call them Rabbi.

But don’t make others call you Rabbi, because you have only one teacher, and you are all followers.

Then one of the twelve apostles, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests.

Then Judas quickly stepped up to Jesus and said, “Hello, Rabbi!” and kissed him.

Jesus answered him, “Yes, I am. But I alone can guarantee that from now on you will see the Son of Man in the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne  . He will be coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Jesus stood in front of the governor, ⌞Pilate⌟. The governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” “Yes, I am,” Jesus answered.

Then all of them said, “So you’re the Son of God?” Jesus answered them, “You’re right to say that I am.”

Pilate asked him, “So you are a king?” Jesus replied, “You’re correct in saying that I’m a king. I have been born and have come into the world for this reason: to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to me.”

Meanwhile, the disciples were urging him, “Rabbi, have something to eat.”
