“Then his master sent for him and said to him, ‘You evil servant! I canceled your entire debt, because you begged me.

“The master felt sorry for his servant, freed him, and canceled his debt.

“The other servants who worked with him saw what had happened and felt very sad. They told their master the whole story.

Shouldn’t you have treated the other servant as mercifully as I treated you?’

“His master responded, ‘You evil and lazy servant! If you knew that I harvest where I haven’t planted and gather where I haven’t scattered,

“The king said to him, ‘I’ll judge you by what you’ve said, you evil servant! You knew that I was a tough person to get along with. You knew that I take what isn’t mine and harvest grain I haven’t planted.

We know that whatever the Scriptures say applies to everyone under their influence, and no one can say a thing. The whole world is brought under the judgment of God.

No mercy will be shown to those who show no mercy to others. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
