We have a chief priest who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way that we are, but he didn’t sin.

When he saw the crowds, he felt sorry for them. They were troubled and helpless like sheep without a shepherd.

Therefore, he had to become like his brothers and sisters so that he could be merciful. He became like them so that he could serve as a faithful chief priest in God’s presence and make peace with God for their sins.

The chief priest can be gentle with people who are ignorant and easily deceived, because he also has weaknesses.

When he came closer and saw the city, he began to cry.

When the Lord saw her, he felt sorry for her. He said to her, “Don’t cry.”

The demon has often thrown him into fire or into water to destroy him. If it’s possible for you, put yourself in our place, and help us!”

When Jesus got out of the boat, he saw a large crowd and felt sorry for them. They were like sheep without a shepherd. So he spent a lot of time teaching them.

Jesus went all over Galilee. He taught in the synagogues and spread the Good News of the kingdom. He also cured every disease and sickness among the people.

In the evening the disciples came to him. They said, “No one lives around here, and it’s already late. Send the crowds to the villages to buy food for themselves.”
