So Jesus said to them, “That is why every student of the Scriptures who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a home owner. He brings new and old things out of his treasure chest.”

Ezra was determined to study the Lord’s Teachings, live by them, and teach their rules and regulations in Israel.

I, King Artaxerxes, order all the treasurers ⌞in the province⌟ west of the Euphrates River to do exactly what Ezra the priest, a scribe for the Teachings of the God of Heaven, asks you to do.

As a scribe, Ezra was an expert in Moses’ Teachings, which the Lord God of Israel had given. The king gave Ezra everything he requested because the Lord his God was guiding him.

The fruit of a righteous person is a tree of life, and a winner of souls is wise.

The lips of wise people spread knowledge, but a foolish attitude does not.

The words of a person’s mouth are like deep waters. The fountain of wisdom is an overflowing stream.

The mandrakes  give off a fragrance, and at our door are all kinds of precious fruits. I have saved new and old things for you alone, my beloved.

Good people do the good things that are in them. But evil people do the evil things that are in them.

“Have you understood all of this?” “Yes,” they answered.

When Jesus had finished these illustrations, he left that place.

I’m sending you prophets, wise men, and teachers of the Scriptures. You will kill and crucify some of them. Others you will whip in your synagogues and persecute from city to city.

So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

That’s why the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles. They will murder some of those prophets and apostles and persecute others.’

“I’m giving you a new commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you.

People think we are sad although we’re always glad, that we’re beggars although we make many people spiritually rich, that we have nothing although we possess everything.

When you read this, you’ll see that I understand the mystery about Christ.

I am the least of all God’s people. Yet, God showed me his kindness by allowing me to spread the Good News of the immeasurable wealth of Christ to people who are not Jewish.

You learned about this Good News from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant. He is taking your place here as a trustworthy deacon for Christ

Let Christ’s word with all its wisdom and richness live in you. Use psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to teach and instruct yourselves about ⌞God’s⌟ kindness. Sing to God in your hearts.

He must not be a new Christian, or he might become arrogant like the devil and be condemned.

He must be devoted to the trustworthy message we teach. Then he can use these accurate teachings to encourage people and correct those who oppose the word.
