God's Word

He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground. He took the seven loaves and gave thanks to God. Then he broke the bread and gave it to his disciples to serve to the people.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said, “Take this, and eat it. This is my body.”

“When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many large baskets did you fill with leftover pieces?” They answered him, “Seven.”

Jesus asked them, “How many loaves of bread do you have?” They answered, “Seven.”

They also had a few small fish. He blessed them and said that the fish should also be served to the people.

Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. I can guarantee this truth: He will change his clothes, make them sit down at the table, and serve them.

While he was at the table with them, he took bread and blessed it. He broke the bread and gave it to them.

His mother told the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Other boats from Tiberias arrived near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord gave thanks.

When people observe a special day, they observe it to honor the Lord. When people eat all kinds of foods, they honor the Lord as they eat, since they give thanks to God. Vegetarians also honor the Lord when they eat, and they, too, give thanks to God.

Everything you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

As you go into the city, you can find him before he goes to the worship site to eat. The people will not eat until he comes, since he blesses the sacrifice. Then those who are invited may eat. Go. You should be able to find him now.”
