God's Word

Jesus left that place and went to the territory of Tyre. He didn’t want anyone to know that he was staying in a house there. However, it couldn’t be kept a secret.

Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, then Heth,

The border of the Canaanites extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim as far as Lasha.

“Zebulun will live by the coast. He will have ships by the coast. His border will go as far as Sidon.

He says, “You will no longer be joyful, my dear abused people Sidon.” Get up, and travel to Cyprus. Even there you will find no rest.

He will not cry out or raise ⌞his voice⌟. He will not make his voice heard in the streets.

“Son of man, tell the ruler of Tyre, ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: In your arrogance you say, “I’m a god. I sit on God’s throne in the sea.” But you’re only human and not a god, although you think you are a god.

“How horrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How horrible it will be for you, Bethsaida! If the miracles worked in you had been worked in Tyre and Sidon, they would have changed the way they thought and acted long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Jesus went into a house, and the blind men followed him. He said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they answered.

Several days later Jesus came back to Capernaum. The report went out that he was home.

All these evils come from within and make a person unclean.”

A woman whose little daughter had an evil spirit heard about Jesus. She went to him and bowed down.

Jesus then left the neighborhood of Tyre. He went through Sidon and the territory of the Ten Cities  to the Sea of Galilee.

In the same way, the good things that people do are obvious, and those that aren’t obvious can’t remain hidden.
