They came to Jesus and saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. The man was sitting there dressed and in his right mind. The people were frightened.

David was afraid of God that day. “How can I bring God’s ark to my ⌞city⌟?” he asked.

Because you weren’t there the first time, the Lord our God struck us. We hadn’t dedicated our lives to serving him in the way ⌞he⌟ designated.”

Doesn’t his majesty terrify you? Doesn’t the fear of him fall upon you?

There they are—panic-stricken because God is with the person who is righteous.

How can anyone go into a strong man’s house and steal his property? First he must tie up the strong man. Then he can go through his house and steal his property.

Don’t you think that I could call on my Father to send more than twelve legions of angels to help me now?

The news about Jesus spread throughout Syria. People brought him everyone who was sick, those who suffered from any kind of disease or pain. They also brought epileptics, those who were paralyzed, and people possessed by demons, and he cured them all.

But as soon as the demon was forced out, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed and said, “We have never seen anything like this in Israel!”

Those who took care of the pigs ran away. In the city and countryside they reported everything that had happened. So the people came to see what had happened.

Those who saw this told what had happened to the demon-possessed man and the pigs.

As Jesus stepped into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged him, “Let me stay with you.”

He had often been chained hand and foot. However, he snapped the chains off his hands and broke the chains from his feet. No one could control him.

Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He told Jesus, “My name is Legion [Six Thousand], because there are many of us.”

She had a sister named Mary. Mary sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to him talk.

When Jesus stepped out on the shore, a certain man from the city met him. The man was possessed by demons and had not worn clothes for a long time. He would not stay in a house but lived in the tombs.

God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of his Son, whom he loves.

God didn’t give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love, and good judgment.

Samuel did what the Lord told him. When he came to Bethlehem, the leaders of the city, trembling with fear, greeted him and said, “May peace be with you.”
