So Pilate asked him again, “Don’t you have any answer? Look how many accusations they’re bringing against you!”

The chief priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Don’t you have any answer to what these men testify against you?”

Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear how many charges they’re bringing against you?”

The chief priests were accusing him of many things.

But Jesus no longer answered anything, so Pilate was surprised.

So Pilate said to Jesus, “Aren’t you going to answer me? Don’t you know that I have the authority to free you or to crucify you?”
