So Elisha left the oxen, ran after Elijah, and said, “Please let me kiss my father and mother goodbye. Then I will follow you.” “Go back,” Elijah answered him. “I’m not stopping you.”

“This is what the Lord of Armies says: These people say it’s not the right time to rebuild the house of the Lord.”

But Jesus told him, “Let the dead bury their own dead. You must go everywhere and tell about God’s kingdom.”
