A voice came out of the cloud and said, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen. Listen to him!”
Here is my servant, whom I support. Here is my chosen one, with whom I am pleased. I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.
“Here is my servant whom I have chosen, whom I love, and in whom I delight. I will put my Spirit on him, and he will announce justice to the nations.
Then a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love—my Son with whom I am pleased.”
A voice from heaven said, “You are my Son, whom I love. I am pleased with you.”
and the Holy Spirit came down to him in the form of a dove. A voice from heaven said, “You are my Son, whom I love. I am pleased with you.”
While he was saying this, a cloud overshadowed them. They were frightened as they went into the cloud.
Father, give glory to your name.” A voice from heaven said, “I have given it glory, and I will give it glory again.”
God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.
So how will we escape punishment if we reject the important message, the message that God saved us? First, the Lord told this saving message. Then those who heard him confirmed that message.
Scripture says, “If you hear God speak today, don’t be stubborn. Don’t be stubborn like those who rebelled.”
After he had finished his work, he became the source of eternal salvation for everyone who obeys him.
