Then all the people from the surrounding region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave because they were terrified. Jesus got into a boat and started back.

The woman asked Elijah, “What do you and I have in common, man of God? Did you come here to remind me of my sin and kill my son?”

Everyone from the city went to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged him to leave their territory.

Then the people began to beg Jesus to leave their territory.

So the officials went to the jail and apologized to Paul and Silas. As the officials escorted Paul and Silas out of the jail, they asked them to leave the city.

Why should we die? This great fire will consume us! If we continue to hear the voice of the Lord our God, we’ll die!

The people of Beth Shemesh asked, “Who can stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to which people will he go when he leaves us?”
