They went to him, woke him up, and said, “Master! Master! We’re going to die!” Then he got up and ordered the wind and the waves to stop. The wind stopped, and the sea became calm.

Jesus ordered the spirit, “Keep quiet, and come out of him!” The demon threw the man down in the middle of the synagogue and came out without hurting him.

He bent over her, ordered the fever to leave, and it went away. She got up immediately and prepared a meal for them.

Simon answered, “Teacher, we worked hard all night and caught nothing. But if you say so, I’ll lower the nets.”

He asked them, “Where is your faith?” Frightened and amazed, they asked each other, “Who is this man? He gives orders to the wind and the water, and they obey him!”
