When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Sir, your sins are forgiven.”

“Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you did not refuse to give me your son, your only son.”

Now my bitter experience turns into peace. You have saved me and kept me from the rotting pit. You have thrown all my sins behind you.

Some people brought him a paralyzed man on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Cheer up, friend! Your sins are forgiven.”

Is it easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?

Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”

and didn’t need anyone to tell him about human nature. He knew what people were really like.

Later, Jesus met the man in the temple courtyard and told him, “You’re well now. Stop sinning so that something worse doesn’t happen to you.”

When he arrived there, he was pleased to see what God had done for them out of kindness. So he encouraged all the people to remain solidly committed to the Lord.

He listened to what Paul was saying. Paul observed him closely and saw that the man believed he could be made well.

If you forgive someone, so do I. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did in the presence of Christ for your benefit.

Put up with each other, and forgive each other if anyone has a complaint. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Another person might say, “You have faith, but I do good things.” Show me your faith apart from the good things you do. I will show you my faith by the good things I do.
