Jesus saw two boats on the shore. The fishermen had stepped out of them and were washing their nets.

As he was walking along the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew. They were throwing a net into the sea because they were fishermen.

As Jesus went on, he saw two other brothers, James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee preparing their nets to go fishing. He called them,

One day Jesus was standing by the Sea of Galilee. The people crowded around him as they listened to God’s word.

So Jesus got into the boat that belonged to Simon and asked him to push off a little from the shore. Then Jesus sat down and taught the crowd from the boat.

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two disciples who heard John and followed Jesus.
