Although they saw him, they didn’t recognize him.
Even though Joseph recognized his brothers, they didn’t recognize him.
Later Jesus appeared to two disciples as they were walking to their home in the country. He did not look as he usually did.
While they were talking, Jesus approached them and began walking with them.
He asked them, “What are you discussing?” They stopped and looked very sad.
Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. But he vanished from their sight.
After she said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there. However, she didn’t know that it was Jesus.
As the sun was rising, Jesus stood on the shore. The disciples didn’t realize that it was Jesus.
