“You have stood by me in the troubles that have tested me.
We have a chief priest who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way that we are, but he didn’t sin.
Because Jesus experienced temptation when he suffered, he is able to help others when they are tempted.
Show us who is to take the place of Judas as an apostle, since Judas abandoned his position to go to the place where he belongs.”
So Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you live by what I say, you are truly my disciples.
But the person who endures to the end will be saved.
