What more could have been done for my vineyard than what I have already done for it? When I waited for it to produce good grapes, why did it produce only sour, wild grapes?

He was still speaking when a bright cloud overshadowed them. Then a voice came out of the cloud and said, “This is my Son, whom I love and with whom I am pleased. Listen to him!”

Then a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love—my Son with whom I am pleased.”

He said, “In a city there was a judge who didn’t fear God or respect people.

“For a while the judge refused to do anything. But then he thought, ‘This widow really annoys me. Although I don’t fear God or respect people,

Then he sent a third servant. But they injured this one and threw him out ⌞of the vineyard⌟.

“When the workers saw him, they talked it over among themselves. They said, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him so that the inheritance will be ours.’

A voice came out of the cloud and said, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen. Listen to him!”

I have seen this and have declared that this is the Son of God.”

It is impossible to do what God’s standards demand because of the weakness our human nature has. But God sent his Son to have a human nature as sinners have and to pay for sin. That way God condemned sin in our corrupt nature.

But when the right time came, God sent his Son ⌞into the world⌟. A woman gave birth to him, and he came under the control of the laws given to Moses.
