So the rich man called for his manager and said to him, ‘What’s this I hear about you? Let me examine your books. It’s obvious that you can’t manage my property any longer.’

I saw the dead, both important and unimportant people, standing in front of the throne. Books were opened, including the Book of Life. The dead were judged on the basis of what they had done, as recorded in the books.

Each of you as a good manager must use the gift that God has given you to serve others.

They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

The sins of some people are obvious, going ahead of them to judgment. The sins of others follow them there.

God will certainly judge everything that is done. This includes every secret thing, whether it is good or bad.

Don’t neglect the gift which you received through prophecy when the spiritual leaders  placed their hands on you ⌞to ordain you⌟.

All of us must appear in front of Christ’s judgment seat. Then all people will receive what they deserve for the good or evil they have done while living in their bodies.

Therefore, don’t judge anything before the appointed time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will also bring to light what is hidden in the dark and reveal people’s motives. Then each person will receive praise from God.

Managers are required to be trustworthy.

Brothers and sisters, some people from Chloe’s family have made it clear to me that you are quarreling among yourselves.

All of us will have to give an account of ourselves to God.

The Lord asked, “Who, then, is the faithful, skilled manager that the master will put in charge of giving the other servants their share of food at the right time?

“But God said to him, ‘You fool! I will demand your life from you tonight! Now who will get what you’ve accumulated?’

“I can guarantee that on judgment day people will have to give an account of every careless word they say.

“When evening came, the owner of the vineyard told the supervisor, ‘Call the workers, and give them their wages. Start with the last, and end with the first.’

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “A rich man had a business manager. The manager was accused of wasting the rich man’s property.

“The manager thought, ‘What should I do? My master is taking my job away from me. I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m ashamed to beg.
