“Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets were ⌞in force⌟ until the time of John. Since that time, people have been telling the Good News about God’s kingdom, and everyone is trying to force their way into it.

As you go, spread this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’

What goes into a person’s mouth doesn’t make him unclean. It’s what comes out of the mouth that makes a person unclean.”

John came to you and showed you the way that God wants you to live, but you didn’t believe him. The tax collectors and prostitutes believed him. But even after you had seen that, you didn’t change your minds and believe him.

“Turn to God and change the way you think and act, because the kingdom of heaven is near.”

From then on, Jesus began to tell people, “Turn to God and change the way you think and act, because the kingdom of heaven is near!”

Jesus went all over Galilee. He taught in the synagogues and spread the Good News of the kingdom. He also cured every disease and sickness among the people.

After John had been put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee and told people the Good News of God.

When the man left, he began to talk freely. He spread his story so widely that Jesus could no longer enter any city openly. Instead, he stayed in places where he could be alone. But people still kept coming to him from everywhere.

‘We are wiping your city’s dust from our feet in protest against you! But realize that God’s kingdom is near you!’

Heal the sick that are there, and tell the people, ‘God’s kingdom is near you!’

“Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses’ ⌞Teachings⌟ and the Prophets. Your brothers should listen to them!’

“Abraham answered him, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses’ ⌞Teachings⌟ and the Prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone comes back to life.’ ”

He sent them to spread the message about God’s kingdom and to cure the sick.

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the man whom Moses wrote about in his teachings and whom the prophets wrote about. He is Jesus, son of Joseph, from the city of Nazareth.”

If we let him continue what he’s doing, everyone will believe in him. Then the Romans will take away our position and our nation.”

The Pharisees said to each other, “This is getting us nowhere. Look! The whole world is following him!”

But in this way God made the sufferings of his Messiah come true. God had predicted these sufferings through all the prophets.
