Once Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he stopped praying, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray as John taught his disciples.”

At that time Jesus went to a mountain to pray. He spent the whole night in prayer to God.

When the Lord saw her, he felt sorry for her. He said to her, “Don’t cry.”

and sent them to ask the Lord, “Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for someone else?”

Once when Jesus was praying privately and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do people say I am?”

About eight days after he had said this, Jesus took Peter, John, and James with him and went up a mountain to pray.

During his life on earth, Jesus prayed to God, who could save him from death. He prayed and pleaded with loud crying and tears, and he was heard because of his devotion to God.
