“The person who hears you hears me, and the person who rejects you rejects me. The person who rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”

“The person who welcomes you welcomes me, and the person who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

Therefore, whoever rejects this ⌞order⌟ is not rejecting human authority but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Those who reject me by not accepting what I say have a judge appointed for them. The words that I have spoken will judge them on the last day.

Then Jesus said loudly, “Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me.

“Whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me. Whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me.”

And whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me.

“This is what the Lord of Armies says: A son honors his father, and a servant honors his master. So if I am a father, where is my honor? If I am a master, where is my respect? You priests despise my name. “But you ask, ‘How have we despised your name?’

While you had the land, it was your own. After it was sold, you could have done as you pleased with the money. So how could you do a thing like this? You didn’t lie to people but to God!”

Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me. Whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. The one who is least among all of you is the one who is greatest.”

So you and all your followers have joined forces against the Lord! Who is Aaron that you should complain about him?”

The Lord said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to trust me in spite of all the miraculous signs I have done among them?

In the morning you will see the glory of the Lord, because he has heard you complaining about him. Why are you complaining about us?”

They complained to Moses and Aaron, “If only we had died in Egypt or this desert!

Moses also said, “The Lord will give you meat to eat in the evening and all the food you want in the morning. The Lord has heard you complaining about him. Who are we? You’re not complaining about us but about the Lord.”

Even though my illness was difficult for you, you didn’t despise or reject me. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were God’s messenger  or Christ Jesus himself.
