Place your hand on the animal’s head. Slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons will throw the blood against the altar on all sides.

We have all strayed like sheep. Each one of us has turned to go his own way, and the Lord has laid all our sins on him.

Slaughter it in the Lord’s presence on the north side of the altar. Aaron’s sons, the priests, will throw the blood against the altar on all sides.

The leaders of the congregation will place their hands on the bull’s head in the Lord’s presence. One of them will slaughter it in the Lord’s presence.

He must bring the bull into the Lord’s presence at the entrance to the tent of meeting. He will place his hand on the bull’s head. He will then slaughter the bull in the Lord’s presence.

Then a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love—my Son with whom I am pleased.”

In other words, God was using Christ to restore his relationship with humanity. He didn’t hold people’s faults against them, and he has given us this message of restored relationships to tell others.

God had Christ, who was sinless, take our sin so that we might receive God’s approval through him.

So Jewish and non-Jewish people can go to the Father in one Spirit.

We can go to God with bold confidence through faith in Christ.

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God’s approval. His wounds have healed you.
