Never curse deaf people or put anything in the way of blind people to make them stumble. Instead, fear your God. I am the Lord.

On the third day Joseph said to them, “Do this, and you will live. I, too, fear God.

Those who were governors before me had made life difficult for the people by taking from them food and wine plus one pound of silver. Even the governors’ servants took advantage of their power over the people. But I didn’t do that, because I feared God.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Good sense is shown by everyone who follows ⌞God’s guiding principles⌟. His praise continues forever.

“Don’t be corrupt when administering justice. Never give special favors to poor people, and never show preference to important people. Judge your neighbor fairly.

“Show respect to the elderly, and honor older people. In this way you show respect for your God. I am the Lord.

Never take advantage of each other. Fear your God, because I am the Lord your God.

Bless those who persecute you. Bless them, and don’t curse them.

So let’s stop criticizing each other. Instead, you should decide never to do anything that would make other Christians have doubts or lose their faith.

Don’t cause others to stumble, whether they are Jewish, Greek, or members of God’s church.

“Whoever leads blind people in the wrong direction will be cursed.” Then all the people will say amen.

So if you call God your Father, live your time as temporary residents on earth in fear. He is the God who judges all people by what they have done, and he doesn’t play favorites.

Honor everyone. Love your brothers and sisters in the faith. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

But I have a few things against you: You have among you those who follow what Balaam taught Balak. Balak trapped the people of Israel by ⌞encouraging⌟ them to eat food sacrificed to idols and to sin sexually.
