“Regarding the creatures mentioned above, this is how you would become unclean: Whoever touches their dead bodies will be unclean until evening.

Whoever carries any part of their dead bodies must wash his clothes. He will be unclean until evening.

All four-legged animals that walk on their paws are unclean for you. Whoever touches their dead bodies will be unclean until evening.

Those who carry the dead body of any of these animals must wash their clothes and will be unclean until evening. These animals are unclean for you.

Among all the swarming creatures that move on the ground, these are unclean for you. Whoever touches their dead bodies will be unclean until evening.

When the dead body of one of these creatures falls on something, that thing will be unclean. It may be a wooden article, clothing, leather, a sack, or anything used for any purpose. It should be put in water and will be unclean until evening. Then it will be clean ⌞again⌟.

Those who eat any of its dead body must wash their clothes and will be unclean until evening. Those who carry its dead body away will wash their clothes and will be unclean until evening.

“The one to be cleansed must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash. Then he will be clean. After that he may go into the camp. However, for seven days he will live outside his tent.

Those who touch these things are unclean and must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening.

But he must bring the goat chosen by lot for Azazel into the Lord’s presence. He will release it in the desert to Azazel in order to make peace with the Lord for himself and his family.

He will burn the fat of the offering for sin on the altar.

Whoever burns them must wash his clothes and his body. Then he may return to the camp.

Then Aaron must throw lots for the two goats. One lot will be for the Lord and the other for Azazel.

This will be a permanent law for them. “Whoever sprinkles the water to take away uncleanness must wash his clothes. And whoever touches this water will be unclean until evening.

Moses’ Teachings couldn’t accomplish everything that God required. But we have something else that gives us greater confidence and allows us to approach God.
