Those who touch his bed must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening.

“Regarding the creatures mentioned above, this is how you would become unclean: Whoever touches their dead bodies will be unclean until evening.

Whoever carries any part of their dead bodies must wash his clothes. He will be unclean until evening.

Those who carry the dead body of any of these animals must wash their clothes and will be unclean until evening. These animals are unclean for you.

When the dead body of one of these creatures falls on something, that thing will be unclean. It may be a wooden article, clothing, leather, a sack, or anything used for any purpose. It should be put in water and will be unclean until evening. Then it will be clean ⌞again⌟.

On the seventh day the priest will examine the scab again. If the scab has not spread on the skin and does not look deeper than the rest of the skin, the priest must declare him clean. When he has washed his clothes, he will be clean.

On the seventh day the priest will examine him again. If the diseased area has faded and not spread, the priest must declare him clean. It is only a rash. The person must wash his clothes and will be clean.

With his right finger he will sprinkle some of the oil seven times in the Lord’s presence.

“When a man has sexual intercourse with a woman and has an emission of semen, they must wash themselves. They will be unclean until evening.

“The man who has a discharge makes everything he lies on or sits on unclean.

Those who sit on anything he sat on must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening.

“The man who released the goat to Azazel must wash his clothes and his body. Then he may return to the camp.

Whoever burns them must wash his clothes and his body. Then he may return to the camp.

“Native Israelites or foreigners who eat the body of an animal that dies naturally or is killed by another animal must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. Then they will be clean.

The person who collected the ashes from the cow must also wash his clothes. He will be unclean until evening. This will be a permanent law for the Israelites and for the foreigners who live with them.

Anything that an unclean person touches becomes unclean, and the person who touches it will be unclean until evening.”

We have been sprinkled ⌞with his blood⌟ to free us from a guilty conscience, and our bodies have been washed with clean water. So we must continue to come ⌞to him⌟ with a sincere heart and strong faith.

The blood of Christ, who had no defect, does even more. Through the eternal Spirit he offered himself to God and cleansed our consciences from the useless things we had done. Now we can serve the living God.

Otherwise, he would have had to suffer many times since the world was created. But now, at the end of the ages, he has appeared once to remove sin by his sacrifice.

Come close to God, and he will come close to you. Clean up your lives, you sinners, and clear your minds, you doubters.

I answered him, “Sir, you know.” Then he told me, “These are the people who are coming out of the terrible suffering. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb.

Saul didn’t say anything that day, thinking, “Something has happened to him so that he’s unclean. He must be unclean.”
