Their faces are ⌞now⌟ blacker than soot. No one recognizes them on the streets. Their skin has shriveled on their bones. It has become as dry as bark.

I am skin and bones, and I have escaped only by the skin of my teeth.

Nineveh is destroyed, deserted, demolished. Hearts are melting. Knees are knocking. Every stomach becomes upset. Every face turns pale.

‘We are wiping your city’s dust from our feet in protest against you! But realize that God’s kingdom is near you!’
