Showing partiality is not good, because some people will turn on you even for a piece of bread.

These dogs have huge appetites. They are never full. They are the shepherds, but they don’t understand. All of them have turned to go their own ways. Each one seeks his own gain.

You dishonor me in front of my people for a few handfuls of barley and a few pieces of bread. You kill people who shouldn’t die, and you spare the lives of people who shouldn’t live. You lie to my people who are willing to listen.

“I wish one of you would shut the doors ⌞to my house⌟ so that you could not light fires on my altar for no reason. I’m not pleased with you,” says the Lord of Armies, “and I won’t accept your offerings.

“I never wanted anyone’s silver, gold, or clothes.

He must not drink excessively or be a violent person, but he must be gentle. He must not be quarrelsome or love money.

They must be silenced because they are ruining whole families by teaching what they shouldn’t teach. This is the shameful way they make money.

In their greed they will use good-sounding arguments to exploit you. The verdict against them from long ago is still in force, and their destruction is not asleep.

Micah told him, “Stay with me! Be a father and a priest to me. I’ll give you ten pieces of silver a year, a set of clothes, and your room and board.” The Levite accepted the offer

Micah ordained the Levite. So the young man became his priest and a part of his family.

While they were at Micah’s house, they recognized the young Levite’s voice. So they stopped to ask him, “Who brought you here? What are you doing here? Why are you here?”

They said to him, “Please find out from God if our journey will be successful.”
