As the sound of the horn grew louder and louder, Moses was speaking, and the voice of God answered him.

He will bring down Moab’s high fortified walls, level them, and throw them into the dust on the ground.

There will be brooks and streams on every lofty mountain and every high hill. When the day of the great slaughter comes, towers will fall.

Shout a war cry against them on every side. They’ll surrender. Their towers will fall and their walls will be torn down. Since this is the Lord’s vengeance, take revenge against them. Do to them what they did to others.

So the troops shouted very loudly when they heard the blast of the rams’ horns, and the wall collapsed. The troops charged straight ahead and captured the city.

Seven priests will carry rams’ horns ahead of the ark. But on the seventh day you must march around the city seven times while the priests blow their horns.

Joshua, son of Nun, summoned the priests. He said to them, “Pick up the ark of the promise, and have seven priests carry seven rams’ horns ahead of the Lord’s ark.”

The men in ambush quickly charged toward Gibeah. They spread out in the city and killed everyone.

David got up early in the morning and had someone else watch ⌞the sheep⌟. He took ⌞the food⌟ and went, as Jesse ordered him. He went to the camp as the army was going out to the battle line shouting their war cry.

Then the soldiers of Israel and Judah rose up, shouted a battle cry, and pursued the Philistines as far as Gath and to the gates of Ekron. Wounded Philistines lay on the road to Shaaraim and all the way to Gath and Ekron.

When the Lord’s ark came into the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth rang with echoes.
