The king of Jericho was told, “Some Israelites have entered the city tonight. They came to gather information about our land.”

But the woman had already taken the two men inside and hidden them. So she said, “Yes, the men did come here. But I didn’t know where they had come from.

He said to her, “Stand at the door of the tent. If anyone comes and asks if there has been a man around here, tell them no.”
