The fourth lot was drawn for the families descended from Issachar.
The sons of Leah were Jacob’s firstborn Reuben, then Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.
“Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the saddlebags.
Jehoshaphat, son of Paruah, was in charge of Issachar.
Issachar will have one part of the land and border Simeon on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.
But the land must be divided by drawing lots. The tribes will receive their land based on the names of their ancestors.
These cities with their villages are the inheritance given to the families descended from Zebulun.
Their territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,
12,000 from the tribe of Simeon, 12,000 from the tribe of Levi, 12,000 from the tribe of Issachar,
