Lazy hands bring poverty, but hard-working hands bring riches.

A lazy person craves food and there is none, but the appetite of hard-working people is satisfied.

The path of lazy people is like a thorny hedge, but the road of decent people is an ⌞open⌟ highway.

Whatever presents itself for you to do, do it with ⌞all⌟ your might, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or skill in the grave where you’re going.

On that day Jerusalem will be told, “Do not be afraid, Zion! Do not lose courage!”

About 5 p.m. he went out and found some others standing around. He said to them, ‘Why are you standing here all day long without work?’

Don’t work for food that spoils. Instead, work for the food that lasts into eternal life. This is the food the Son of Man will give you. After all, the Father has placed his seal of approval on him.”

Be strong and courageous, because you will help these people take possession of the land I swore to give their ancestors.

Joshua was old, near the end of his life. So the Lord said to him, “You are old, near the end of your life, and there is a lot of land left to be conquered.

There were still seven tribes in Israel who had not yet received any land as their inheritance.

Choose three men from each tribe, and I will send them out. They will survey the land and write a description of it which shows ⌞the borders of⌟ their inheritance. Then they will come back to me.

They replied, “Get up, let’s attack Laish. We saw the land. It’s very good! “Don’t just sit there! Go at once and take the land.
