Moses gave some land as an inheritance to the tribe of Gad for its families.
The sons of Leah’s slave Zilpah were Gad and Asher. These were Jacob’s sons, who were born in Paddan Aram.
They lived in Gilead, in Bashan and its villages, and in the entire pastureland of Sharon to its extreme edges.
Gad will have one part of the land and border Zebulun on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.
The border of Reuben’s territory was the Jordan River. This was Reuben’s inheritance for its families. It included cities with their villages.
Their territory included Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half of Ammon as far as Aroer, which is by Rabbah.
