Then the Lord spoke his word to Jonah a second time. He said,
Long ago, the prophets who preceded you and me prophesied wars, disasters, and plagues against many countries and great kingdoms.
The lion has roared. Who isn’t afraid? The Almighty Lord has spoken. Who can keep from prophesying?
The Lord spoke his word to Jonah, son of Amittai. He said,
Then the Lord spoke to the fish, and it spit Jonah out onto the shore.
“Leave at once for the important city, Nineveh. Announce to the people the message I have given you.”
