Some people brought the man who had been blind to the Pharisees.
(The chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that whoever knew where Jesus was should tell them so that they could arrest him.)
The Pharisees said to each other, “This is getting us nowhere. Look! The whole world is following him!”
Many rulers believed in Jesus. However, they wouldn’t admit it publicly because the Pharisees would have thrown them out of the synagogue.
They asked him, “Where is that man?” The man answered, “I don’t know.”
The day when Jesus mixed the spit and dirt and gave the man sight was a day of rest—a holy day.
