John 7:1

God's Word

Jesus later traveled throughout Galilee. He didn’t want to travel in Judea because Jews there wanted to kill him.

So when they persecute you in one city, flee to another. I can guarantee this truth: Before you have gone through every city in Israel, the Son of Man will come.

“When the workers saw his son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Let’s kill him and get his inheritance.’

When the chief priests and the experts in Moses’ Teachings heard him, they looked for a way to kill him. They were afraid of him because he amazed all the crowds with his teaching.

This was John’s answer when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

So he left the Judean countryside and went back to Galilee.

This was the second miracle that Jesus performed after he had come back from Judea to Galilee.

Jesus later crossed to the other side of the Sea of Galilee (or the Sea of Tiberias).

The Jews were looking for Jesus in the crowd at the festival. They kept asking, “Where is that man?”

Yet, no one would talk openly about him because they were afraid of the Jews.

Didn’t Moses give you his teachings? Yet, none of you does what Moses taught you. So why do you want to kill me?”

Some of the people who lived in Jerusalem said, “Isn’t this the man they want to kill?

The Jews said among themselves, “Where does this man intend to go so that we won’t find him? Does he mean that he’ll live with the Jews who are scattered among the Greeks and that he’ll teach the Greeks?

I know that you’re Abraham’s descendants. However, you want to kill me because you don’t like what I’m saying.

I am a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. But now you want to kill me. Abraham wouldn’t have done that.

You know that God anointed Jesus from Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Jesus went everywhere and did good things, such as healing everyone who was under the devil’s power. Jesus did these things because God was with him.
