“A boy who has five loaves of barley bread and two small fish is here. But they won’t go very far for so many people.”

They brought their quota of barley and straw for the chariot horses to the proper places.

Elisha answered, “Listen to the Lord’s word! This is what the Lord says: About this time tomorrow 24 cups of the best flour will sell for half an ounce of silver in the gateway to Samaria. And 48 cups of barley will sell for half an ounce of silver.”

He is the one who brings peace to your borders and satisfies your ⌞hunger⌟ with the finest wheat.

They spoke against God by saying, “Can God prepare a banquet in the desert?

Again and again they tested God, and they pushed the Holy One of Israel to the limit.

But I would feed Israel with the finest wheat and satisfy them with honey from a rock.”

Judah and Israel traded with you. They exchanged wheat from Minnith, baked goods, honey, olive oil, and balsam for your goods.

Don’t you understand yet? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand and how many baskets you filled?

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” When they found out, they told him, “Five loaves of bread and two fish.”

When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets did you fill with leftover pieces?” They told him, “Twelve.”

Jesus replied, “You give them something to eat.” They said to him, “We have five loaves of bread and two fish. Unless we go to buy food for all these people, that’s all we have.”

Martha told Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

When Mary arrived where Jesus was and saw him, she knelt at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

Jesus told them, “Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught.”

Jesus took the bread, gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

When they went ashore, they saw a fire with a fish lying on the coals, and they saw a loaf of bread.

Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to the people who were sitting there. He did the same thing with the fish. All the people ate as much as they wanted.

Philip answered, “We would need about a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each of them to have a piece.”

You know about the kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was rich, yet for your sake he became poor in order to make you rich through his poverty.

They ate cheese from cows and drank milk from sheep and goats. He gave them fat from lambs, rams from the stock of Bashan, male goats, and the best wheat. They drank the blood-red wine of grapes.

The land has wheat and barley, grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates. The land has honey and olive trees for olive oil.

I heard what sounded like a voice from among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s pay or three quarts of barley for a day’s pay. But do not damage the olive oil and the wine.”
