They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread all the time.”
Many are saying, “Who can show us anything good?” Let the light of your presence shine on us, O Lord.
The woman told Jesus, “Sir, give me this water! Then I won’t get thirsty or have to come here to get water.”
Jesus replied to them, “I can guarantee this truth: You’re not looking for me because you saw miracles. You are looking for me because you ate as much of those loaves as you wanted.
The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is praised forever, knows that I’m not lying.
