Jesus told her, “I am he, and I am speaking to you now.”
Then he strictly ordered the disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.
Can’t I do what I want with my own money? Or do you resent my generosity towards others?’
Some who are last will be first, and some who are first will be last.”
I’m telling you now before it happens. Then, when it happens, you will believe that I am the one.

So Jesus told them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you’ll know that I am the one and that I can’t do anything on my own. Instead, I speak as the Father taught me.
