Thomas, one of the twelve apostles, who was called Didymus, wasn’t with them when Jesus came.
Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James (son of Alphaeus), and Thaddaeus;
Where two or three have come together in my name, I am there among them.”
Thomas, who was called Didymus, said to the rest of the disciples, “Let’s go so that we, too, can die with Jesus.”
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going. So how can we know the way?”
Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two other disciples of Jesus were together.
Jesus replied, “I chose all twelve of you. Yet, one of you is a devil.”
Jesus meant Judas, son of Simon Iscariot. Judas, who was one of the twelve apostles, would later betray Jesus.
We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming.
