Jesus asked her, “Why are you crying? Who are you looking for?” Mary thought it was the gardener speaking to her. So she said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I’ll remove him.”

They thought that he was with the others who were traveling with them. After traveling for a day, they started to look for him among their relatives and friends.

The women were terrified and bowed to the ground. The men asked the women, “Why are you looking among the dead for the living one?

Jesus turned around and saw them following him. He asked them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which means “teacher”), “where are you staying?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went to meet them and asked, “Who are you looking for?”

Jesus asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Jesus from Nazareth.”

The angels asked her why she was crying. Mary told them, “They have removed my Lord, and I don’t know where they’ve put him.”

Don’t take me to be a good-for-nothing woman. I was praying like this because I’ve been troubled and tormented.”
