Jesus answered him, “I have spoken publicly for everyone to hear. I have always taught in synagogues or in the temple courtyard, where all the Jews gather. I haven’t said anything in secret.

Then the chief priest tore his robes in horror and said, “He has dishonored God! Why do we need any more witnesses? You’ve just heard him dishonor God!

Jesus went all over Galilee. He taught in the synagogues and spread the Good News of the kingdom. He also cured every disease and sickness among the people.

He told them very clearly what he meant. Peter took him aside and objected to this.

During the day Jesus would teach in the temple courtyard. But at night he would go to the Mount of Olives (as it was called) and spend the night there.

Why do you question me? Question those who heard what I said to them. They know what I’ve said.”

Jesus said this while he was teaching in a synagogue in Capernaum.

When the festival was half over, Jesus went to the temple courtyard and began to teach.

But look at this! He’s speaking in public, and no one is saying anything to him! Can it be that the rulers really know that this man is the Messiah?

Then, while Jesus was teaching in the temple courtyard, he said loudly, “You know me, and you know where I come from. I didn’t decide to come on my own. The one who sent me is true. He’s the one you don’t know.

No one does things secretly when he wants to be known publicly. If you do these things, you should let the world see you.”

Early the next morning he returned to the temple courtyard. All the people went to him, so he sat down and began to teach them.

I have a lot I could say about you and a lot I could condemn you for. But the one who sent me is true. So I tell the world exactly what he has told me.”

I can easily speak to a king who knows about these things. I’m sure that none of these things has escaped his attention. None of this was done secretly.
