The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends.

“My friends, I can guarantee that you don’t need to be afraid of those who kill the body. After that they can’t do anything more.

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

So I give my life for my sheep.

I’m dedicating myself to this holy work I’m doing for them so that they, too, will use the truth to be holy.

Live in love as Christ also loved us. He gave his life for us as an offering and sacrifice, a soothing aroma to God.

We understand what love is when we realize that Christ gave his life for us. That means we must give our lives for other believers.
