God's Word

After he has brought out all his sheep, he walks ahead of them. The sheep follow him because they recognize his voice.

I hear my beloved’s voice. Look! Here he comes, sprinting over the mountains, racing over the hills.

I sleep, but my mind is awake. Listen! My beloved is knocking. Open to me, my true love, my sister, my dove, my perfect one. My head is wet with dew, my hair with the dewdrops of night.

All who came before I did were thieves or robbers. However, the sheep didn’t respond to them.

Those who serve me must follow me. My servants will be with me wherever I will be. If people serve me, the Father will honor them.

I’ve given you an example that you should follow.

Pilate asked him, “So you are a king?” Jesus replied, “You’re correct in saying that I’m a king. I have been born and have come into the world for this reason: to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to me.”

“The groom is the person to whom the bride belongs. The best man, who stands and listens to him, is overjoyed when the groom speaks. This is the joy that I feel.

Imitate God, since you are the children he loves.

The Lord your God, who is going ahead of you, will fight for you as you saw him fight for you in Egypt

We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Now he holds the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne.

where Jesus went before us on our behalf. He has become the chief priest forever in the way Melchizedek was a priest.

God called you to endure suffering because Christ suffered for you. He left you an example so that you could follow in his footsteps.

Since Christ has suffered physically, take the same attitude that he had. (A person who has suffered physically no longer sins.)

Don’t be rulers over the people entrusted to you, but be examples for the flock to follow.
