You will receive a double measure of wealth instead of your shame. You will sing about your wealth instead of being disgraced. That is why you will have a double measure of wealth in your land. You will have everlasting joy.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of Armies.

So Moses cried to the Lord, “Please, God, heal her!”

They asked, “Did the Lord speak only through Moses? Didn’t he also speak through us?” The Lord heard their complaint.

But when the whole community of Israel talked about stoning Moses and Aaron to death, they all saw the glory of the Lord ⌞shining⌟ at the tent of meeting.

“The rich man responded, ‘Then I ask you, Father, to send Lazarus back to my father’s home.

Then he knelt down and shouted, “Lord, don’t hold this sin against them.” After he had said this, he died.

he will restore your fortunes. He will have mercy on you and gather you from all the nations of the world where he will scatter you.

But remember the Lord your God is the one who makes you wealthy. He’s confirming the promise  which he swore to your ancestors. It’s still in effect today.

The Lord also became very angry with Aaron and wanted to destroy him. But at that time I prayed for Aaron, too.

We consider those who endure to be blessed. You have heard about Job’s endurance. You saw that the Lord ended Job’s suffering because the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

The Lord causes poverty and grants wealth. He humbles ⌞people⌟; he also promotes them.

He raises the poor from the dust. He lifts the needy from the trash heap in order to make them sit with nobles and even to make them inherit a glorious throne. “The pillars of the earth are the Lord’s. He has set the world on them.
