“Will the person who finds fault with the Almighty correct him? Will the person who argues with God answer him?”

I will say to God, ‘Don’t condemn me. Let me know why you are quarreling with me.

However, I want to speak to the Almighty, and I wish to argue my case in front of God.

I would present ⌞my⌟ case to him. I would have a mouthful of arguments.

“I swear an oath by God, the one who has taken away my rights, by the Almighty, who has made my life bitter:

“Why give light to one in misery and life to those who find it so bitter,

Why give light to those whose paths have been hidden, to those whom God has fenced in?

You have begun to treat me cruelly. With your mighty hand you assault me.

“If only I had someone who would listen to me! Look, here is my signature! Let the Almighty answer me. Let the prosecutor write ⌞his complaint⌟ on a scroll.

Why do you quarrel with him since he doesn’t answer any questions?

Brace yourself like a man! I will ask you, and you will teach me.

The Lord responded to Job,

“Am I the sea or a sea monster that you have set a guard over me?

If he wished to debate with God, he wouldn’t be able to answer one question in a thousand.

Whatever has happened ⌞in the past⌟ already has a name. Mortals are already known for what they are. Mortals cannot argue with the one who is stronger than they.

Whom did he consult? Who gave him understanding? Who taught him the right way? Who taught him knowledge? Who informed him about the way to understanding?

The one who pronounces me innocent is near. Who will bring a case against me? Let us confront each other! Who accuses me? Let him confront me!

I will set traps for you, Babylon. You will be caught, but you won’t know it. You will be found and captured because you have opposed the Lord.

“What do you mean when you use this proverb about the land of Israel: ‘Fathers have eaten sour grapes, and their children’s teeth are set on edge’?

Although they took it, they began to protest to the owner.

Are we trying to make the Lord jealous? Are we stronger than he is?

“Who has known the mind of the Lord so that he can teach him?” However, we have the mind of Christ.
