“Now think about this: Which innocent person ⌞ever⌟ died ⌞an untimely death⌟? Find me a decent person who has been destroyed.

He doesn’t allow the wicked person to live. He grants justice to those who are oppressed.

He doesn’t take his eyes off righteous people. He seats them on thrones with kings to honor them forever.

“Certainly, God does not reject a person of integrity or give a helping hand to wicked people.

I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food.

I have seen it all in my pointless life: Righteous people die in spite of being righteous. Wicked people go on living in spite of being wicked.

When the people who lived on the island saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer! He may have escaped from the sea, but justice won’t let him live.”

Since the Lord did all this, he knows how to rescue godly people when they are tested. He also knows how to hold immoral people for punishment on the day of judgment.
