So for seven days they celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread because the Lord had made them joyful. The Lord had made the king of Assyria change his mind so that he supported the people in their work on the temple of God, the God of Israel.

The person who is truly wise is called understanding, and speaking sweetly helps others learn.

Strengthen limp hands. Steady weak knees.

The Almighty Lord will teach me what to say, so I will know how to encourage weary people. Morning after morning he will wake me to listen like a student.

You have discouraged righteous people with your lies, even though I hadn’t brought them any grief. You encouraged wicked people not to turn from their wicked ways to save their lives.

On that day Jerusalem will be told, “Do not be afraid, Zion! Do not lose courage!”

But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. So when you recover, strengthen the other disciples.”

Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and gave him strength.

Don’t say anything that would hurt ⌞another person⌟. Instead, speak only what is good so that you can give help wherever it is needed. That way, what you say will help those who hear you.

Give instructions to Joshua. Encourage and strengthen him, because he will lead these people across ⌞the Jordan River⌟, and he will help them take possession of the land you see.”

Everything you say should be kind and well thought out so that you know how to answer everyone.

Strengthen your tired arms and weak knees.
