When I remember it, I’m terrified, and shuddering seizes my body.

The thunder announces his coming. The storm announces his angry wrath.

Listen! Listen to the roar of God’s voice, to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.

Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm.

Don’t you fear me?” asks the Lord. “Don’t you tremble in my presence? I made the sand a boundary for the sea, a permanent barrier that it cannot cross. Although the waves toss continuously, they can’t break through. Although they roar, they can’t cross it.

I have heard, so there’s trembling within me. At the report my lips quivered. A rotten feeling has entered me. I tremble where I stand. I wait for the day of trouble to come to the people who will attack us.

Suddenly, a violent earthquake shook the foundations of the jail. All the doors immediately flew open, and all the prisoners’ chains came loose.

The jailer asked for torches and rushed into the jail. He was trembling as he knelt in front of Paul and Silas.

About the tribe of Dan he said, “The people of Dan are a lion cub. Out of Bashan they pounce ⌞on their enemies⌟.”
