Doesn’t he see my ways and count all my steps?

⌞then⌟ let God weigh me on honest scales, and he will know I have integrity.

⌞You said,⌟ ‘I’m pure—without any rebellious acts ⌞against God⌟. I’m clean; I have no sin.

Please change your mind. Don’t permit any injustice. Change your mind because I am still right about this!

⌞What is he⌟ that you should inspect him every morning and examine him every moment?

The Lord knows the way of righteous people, but the way of wicked people will end.

The Lord tests righteous people, but he hates wicked people and the ones who love violence.

You have probed my heart. You have confronted me at night. You have tested me like silver, but you found nothing wrong. I have determined that my mouth will not sin.

You have tested us, O God. You have refined us in the same way silver is refined.

Let the evil within wicked people come to an end, but make the righteous person secure, O righteous God who examines thoughts and emotions.

The crucible is for refining silver and the smelter for gold, but the one who purifies hearts ⌞by fire⌟ is the Lord.

You know me, O Lord. You see me and test my devotion to you. Drag them away like sheep to be slaughtered. Prepare them for the day of slaughter.

I will bring this third ⌞of the people⌟ through the fire. I will refine them as silver is refined. I will test them as gold is tested. They will call on me, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people.’ They will reply, ‘The Lord is our God.’ ”

Jesus asked him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt sad because Jesus had asked him a third time, “Do you love me?” So Peter said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus told him, “Feed my sheep.

If his work is burned up, he will suffer ⌞the loss⌟. However, he will be saved, though it will be like going through a fire.

Remember that for 40 years the Lord your God led you on your journey in the desert. He did this in order to humble you and test you. He wanted to know whether or not you would wholeheartedly obey his commands.

In spite of all that, God’s ⌞people⌟ have a solid foundation. These words are engraved on it: “The Lord knows those who belong to him,” and “Whoever worships the Lord must give up doing wrong.”

When God tested Abraham, faith led him to offer his son Isaac. Abraham, the one who received the promises from God, was willing to offer his only son as a sacrifice.

Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fire tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honor to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ appears again.
